Work wise it looks like it's going to be the kind of day when either nothing happens all day or any minute now ever single client is going to come out of the woodwork with an unexpected and critical thing that has to be done right this minute. I'm ready.

I'm also waiting for my new Bits Per Second. Right now, I'm at 1536 (download). I ordered up the 7000 rate. It's supposed to be in place by 4 p.m. this afternoon. I'm skeptical. The price difference is $10 a month. If the reality is way faster download, then $10 is an easy bite. If it is marginally faster, I'm going to not be happy.

I'm on hold right now with Premera. Ok, it seems a bit strange to be praising a health insurance company but... I have now called these people three times over the span of a year to ask silly questions. I have never been on hold for more than 60 seconds. (Even calling first thing Monday morning) I have never been transferred to someone else. I have always gotten a perfectly clear and understandable answer from a cheery and very respectful person who does not overuse my first name. It seems very Stepford to me...

Bottom line is that the thing I got from them on Friday, in fact, points out that I have fulfilled my financial obligation and the doctor's office and the insurance company both agree and I don't owe any more. Nice.

I TiVo'd the Emmy's last night and started watching it about 30 minutes back. Fast forwarding through the boring parts left a really very entertaining show. There was one bit about TiVo which was hilarious. For a flash second, I thought my remote was broken and didn't catch the joke. I quit watching about 10 and will catch the rest later. I'm not interested in who won so knowing ahead of time won't matter.

There was a funny bit with Bob Newhart that my mother would have thought was hysterical. She loved Bob Newhart.

And that's about all I know so far today. There's a chance, I'm sure, that I'll know more later but then maybe not.
