I'm having dinner with my friend, Patty, tomorrow and she's coming here so she can see the place. She lived here (and worked with me at Start Up #1 The One That Blew Up) and then moved to Chicago and recently returned. We're going to the brew pub next door. But, I realized that my desk looked pretty messy and some stuff needed dusting (she's young and still has good eyesight - not a plus in visitors but I can dust, I guess.)
While cleaning up stuff, I remembered that I need to do that eBay listing for the Lifebook. I've been suspecting issues with IE on this desktop for some time now. I think it stems from the ill fated download of IE 7. I deleted that installation and should have rolled back but whatever. eBay has a new listing thing that is a royal pain in the ass and completely locked me out of a couple of necessities. So I had to fire up Firefox to get the job done. I hate eBay. I'm sure that for those who make their living listing stuff, it is easy peasy. But for the once every year or two lister, it's a bitch and a half. Looks like these puppies are selling for about $400 and I have a external drive to throw in the mix. If I get $450, I'll be happy. It's not showing up in the search listings yet so I'm still not sure I did it right. blech.
I cleaned out the trunk of the car and brought up all the stuff that was just resting there - the backup Diet Dr. Pepper, the spare kitty litter, the extra paper towels, etc. They are all up here and put away.
I just checked my Discover card to see if the new computer was on it yet (no), and discovered (haha) that I now have TWO credits for that stupid Amazon club refund. Nice. It won't last but it's nice to see at least for a little while.
The Seahawks fans are whipping themselves up into a frenzy outside and the Mariners are in the throws of yet another loss (they are in losing in Kansas City today). The temperature is perfect once again.
A nice Fall Sunday.
