Are you ready for some football??

Clearly or at least vocally, there are several people in the parking lot outside my terrace who are. The sun rose at 7 and that's when the first cheers started. It's now 8:30 and they are getting some decent volume.

Last weekend we had a college game on Saturday that did not quite fill the stadium but came close. Then we had the Seahawks on Sunday. On Saturday, during the game, I could forget it was going on. On Sunday, not possible. They were way louder than I remembered from last year. Then I heard the big NFL controversy that that Seahawks were using some kind of loud boosters. I know precious little about football and even less about professional football so I'm not clear on the details. But, if I had to testify in court, I'd have to say it was louder.

Of course, the controversy has fed the vocal flames. Starting last Monday, Seahawks fans vowed to be here this Sunday and show them what loud really was like. Okdokey. I'm ready. I can close the door. I brought the fan in for if it gets too warm with the door closed but I don't think it will. The sun is shining brightly now and it's only about 70 degrees. That's civilized.

I did work in some TV last night and a few new shows bit the bullet. Vanished, sad to say, is off my list. I did not think Til Death was going to make it - I'm not wild about either of the lead characters but I do love 30 mins of fun. This didn't turn out to be that much fun. Strike. I watched Shark and while it's not perfect, it was good enough to stay on the list.

My eBay auction ends in a couple of hours. So far so good. I'll box it up and get it ready for the post office. I can drop it off before or after I take the car for its checkup.

I have some chores to do today and then I need to make a list of stuff that I have to do on Tuesday to get ready for Scott and Julie's visit. I think Monday and Tuesday are going to be pretty busy. I am so glad I went ahead and told everyone I would not be available. It will be fun to take a real break. Plus, turns out... I get 8 hours of vacation pay for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday! I had totally forgotten that my boss does give a little vacation benefit. (I mean, I could actually take any day off - just not get paid but this is way better.) Fun.

Ok, time to get into the shower and then get to work.
