I'm out of gas...
Nov. 6th, 2006 10:01 pmI don't know how people who sit in traffic day after day do it.
I got out to Redmond fairly quickly. And got a free godcarwash in the process.
We got out of the meeting at 4:45. I pulled out of the parking lot and by 6 p.m. I was 3 miles down the road. Then I decided that I was probably going to see a couple of birthdays pass before I ever saw home again anyway so a delay wouldn't kill me. I detoured to a MacDonald's and then back into the creeping traffic. It was a good dinner and it kept me amused. About 7 p.m. I was half way home but on the interstate now and all of a sudden I had the thought 'ohmygod... what if I have to pee??!!'. Men have it so easy.
Turns out I held out pretty well. The football game turned out to be a non-issue in getting home. Everyone was safely in the stadium enjoying the 3rd quarter when I pulled in.
But, yeah, I do need to get gas.
