susandennisWell, I think I'm back digitally speaking. I have most of the critical stuff loaded up and reinstalled and restored.
I run Carbonite and I had stored some stuff but, of course, forgot some other semi important things. Carbonite saved me some major hassle.
And this newly cleaned machine has gone from iffy and tortoise slow to sure and snappy! I run the Google gadget System Monitor. Before the baptism, I was running between 90-100% CPU and mostly in the high range of that. Now, it says under 5%. Nice to see.
I had been running Money 2003 since well, 2003. I never liked it and was underwhelmed with the upgrades to get there so I just stopped. But, 2007 came out recently and I decided wtf. Very very nice. And snappy. And they fixed all the crap I hated. Nice.
So I'm glad I did it but I'm even more glad it's done.
Work is also caught up so I'm going to take the night off and knit me some teddy while I catch up with Tivo.
