susandennisSherry and Lee and I ended up going to Luna's Cafe in West Seattle. We had THE best breakfast ever. Man, it was good.
Sherry has an old dumpy desktop computer with Win98 and no ethernet card. I was going to see if it would use an old Linksys wireless adapter but of course not. I did discover that her wireless network sucks. She has the exact same set up as I do - same DSL provider, same ISP, same modem. And yet, I can sit 1 foot from her modem with my computer and get 2 wireless bars. Her neighbors' networks come in loud and clear through the walls but not Sherry's. Weird.
I also discovered that all of her neighbors except 1 have their networks locked down. Up here at my house, I can see about 7 networks and only 2 of those are locked down. I guess 4th floor peops are just more generous.
It is cold and wet outside with lots of snow in the forecast and on the TV news. I don't think it's going to fall anywhere near here but everywhere else is getting their share.
It was, in fact, a wonderful day for a fire in the fireplace.
