Snow all gone

By the time I went to bed last night, the foot skaters in the parking lot had been replaced by car skaters.  There were two cars spinning around on the snow for fun.  There were plenty of things they could have hit - light poles, trucks other cars.  It was truly like watching an  accident waiting to happen.  But, if it did it was after I went to bed.

This morning it's all a melted puddle.  Oh well. 

As one anonymous commenter pointed out, at least I could watch it all now that The Tree That I Hate has finally given up all those stupid leaves.  Thank you, tree!

My brother and his wife head out today from Austin, Texas to the mountains of North Carolina for a week of doing not much of anything.  They were hoping for cool weather but I got a quick note from him this morning saying that it was cooler in Austin right now than in Blowing Rock.  

Blowing Rock was a wonderful tiny mountain town where we spent many great summers and lots of winter weekends when we were growing up.  We had a house there that was full of beds so we could bring friends and it was always fun - non-stop Yahtzee tournaments and great food and great fun.  I haven't been back in 35 years.  My brother kind of migrates there every four or five years. 

My wireless webcam is on the UPS truck 'out for delivery'.  I think I'll get some work work done so I'll be free to play with it when it gets here!  Next snow storm, maybe I'll have live shots!
