Pile it on...
Jan. 11th, 2007 12:07 pmI got up at oh dark 30 this morning to tackle my pile o' work. By 10, I had logged 4 hours already. By 11:30, I needed a break so I got a sandwich at the deli and brought it home to catch up with LJ.
We have snow. Not much but it is also very cold so the few flakes we got are sticking around today. It's kind of funny. It looks like someone dropped the thing of talcum powder on the part of Seattle.
It didn't seem all that cold when I went outside, until I turned a corner and got hit in the face with a gale off Elliot Bay. Holy Breath Robber, Batman! Whew.
I'm all caught up and now I need to get back to work. My little alert program that tells me when there is a new bug in my queue has gone off three times since I sat down with my sandwich. I may never get caught up again.
Here is a really fun commute story - seriously, this woman walked 8 miles home last night (by choice) and her account even makes me want to do it. Her route is one I know well (and she includes a link to a map showing it) - she walked over bridges, through tunnels, and definitely made better time than had she been on wheels. It's a fun read.
