susandennisI had several customers just get totally out of control this afternoon. I let them spin around until they ran out of energy. The clean up was pretty easy. And one of the firedrills resulted in my 10 hour job that had to be done by 9 a.m. Sunday being shrunk down to about 5 hours. Or less. Easy peasy.
I am trying out a new yarn supplier. Same yarn but different supplier. I have used http://www.herrschners.com for years and years. They have always kind of irritated me just a little. The time from 'buy now' to my getting the goods has always been way too long and mostly by USPS so no real tracking and, unless I hit one of their 'free shipping' windows, the shipping always seemed too expensive to me.
Somewhere a few months ago, I got to studying http://www.knitting-warehouse.com/. Some of the yarn I use is cheaper, not much but a little, and they have a very reasonable flat $6 shipping charge. So, this time, I ordered from them. I got a UPS tracking number VERY quickly and, not only that, I will have my yarn at my house exactly 4 days from the time I hit 'buy now'!
Excellent!! Oh and they carry the yarn that used be only available at Walmart (the stuff that makes its own design).
My teddy bears must be machine washable and I like sport weight yarn and I demand good colors oh and I'm cheap so that really limits my choices.
My Teddy Bear yarn bill is about $500 a year. Eyes and noses cost me about $150. And my stuffing bill is also about $150.
