A couple of years ago there was an informal meme going around to post a photo of your cube or office or workspace.  Today, I'm going with links of the pages I've worked on in the past 24 hours.

I work for Resources Online which does a whole bunch of different kinds of writing/editing/video work for a whole bunch of different people but my little piece of it is web production.  My company contracts with a number of different groups at Microsoft to do a variety of things including web work from design and concept to production.  I'm production.  I get the graphics from here and the text from there and the links from over there and following the tightly prescribed rules of Microsoft.Com, I build, edit and publish web pages.

Here are the pages I have edited or built, or fixed in the past 24 hours:

http://www.microsoft.com/sql/technologies/analysis/default.mspx
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/branchoffice/partners.mspx
http://www.microsoft.com/sql/technologies/reporting/default.mspx
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/mom/2000/overview.mspx
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver/facts/casestudies/default.mspx
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver/facts/analyses/default.mspx
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver/facts/default.mspx
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver/facts/switchback.mspx
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/itshowcase/content/edgetransport.mspx
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/itshowcase/default.mspx
http://www.microsoft.com/biztalk/solutions/soa/default.mspx
http://www.microsoft.com/mom/default.mspx

The list isn't complete because it only includes work that was finished.  The rest are still on the staging server and not yet live or on one of the intranets and not public.  But the above gives a good cross section of my days.  Flitting from here to there.  And having little to no control over how a page looks or feels or operates.  AND probably inducing a variety of errors with every fix although I try so hard not to.  (Some of these pages, I might add) have heavy copy editing and proofing and some have none - it depends on the contract details.)

But, in a nut shell... this is what pays to keep Jake and Betty in whatever cat food is on sale.
