I am Vista's bitch

So I hit 'restart'. Restart (or even boot up) in Vista has the following touchpoints.

1. blue and green Vista background with the words 'shutting down'
2. computer goes to black and then starts to come up again.
3. computer start - the pre-bios sccreen, the bios screen
4. the windows loader - you get a little green thermometer showing that it's load up
5. black screen
6. the Vista hourglass (which is a little blue and green rotating circle)
7. Vista logo
8. login

I'm now hung at #5.

Been hung there now for about 40 mins.

It's really not very comforting, to be honest.

Edit: 47 minutes total but now it's up and seems quite zippy. Geesh!
