Virginia Graham

Years ago there was a woman named Virginia Graham who had a talk show on TV. She looked kind of Barbara Bush-y with a halo of white Texas big hair. She died several years ago. Last night I was watching a recording of a Biography show about the Manson women. One of the people who helped recount the story was a woman named Virginia Graham who looked very Barbara Bushy-y with a halo of white Texas hair. She didn't look very dead. What's more, the part of the story she was recounting was how she, while sharing a cell with one of the Manson women, learned that they, in fact, had done the murders and she tipped off the police.

The show never said another word about Virginia Graham - who she was, why she was in jail, if she was any relation to the TV Virginia Graham that she looks exactly like. I googled away today and can't find any other infomration about her exect she shared a cell and spilled the beans.

It've a very curious thing.

Virginia Graham, tv person, author, was born on July 4, 1912...not sure if she had any children but seems unlikely the 2 are related.

Interesting... it's amazing though how much they look alike! When they first showed the woman on Biography - even before they put the name up, I thought "Wow, I thought she was dead!" Very strange indeed.

i saw that same biography and had the same ideas. Please note that some of the interviews were done years earlier which would explain why V Graham was still alive. My question is the same, why was she in jail???

there were two one the talk show host the other a madam the madam was jailed for ovious reasons when she meet atkins

When I was 10 my mom was good friends with Virginia Graham. At that point in time she went by Cathy Castro. I remember finding the book Helter Skelter in my mom's room and reading it. I asked my mom if that was "our" Cathy as I knew her real name was Virginia Graham. My mom said yes and when I asked about the prostitution my mom said that was made up for good reading. She said she was in jail for hot checks. Not sure if she just didn't want me to know the truth. All I know is Cathy lived 10 lives in one lifetime. We lived with her for a while in Tucson Arizona but my mom lost track of her years ago. I saw her on television also and brought back memories!

And I should have added to my previous comment that she always lived in fear that some of Manson's crazy followers would try to kill her. Hence the reason for all of the aliases. This was way before computers so she lived in relative privacy. I tried to find her after the Biography episode but was unable to find any information. This is the first thing I have found mentioning her in years.

I just saw the same show and saw this Virginia Graham person. So weird I had to come look it up too. That woman did remind me of the talk show Virginia Graham, but she must have been trying to look like her. Did an almost decent job of it too.
