susandennisI found out today that the people who have been getting my teddy bears have plenty and don't have room for more. So I have to find new homes for them. There is a columnist who writes in my morning paper and he does a lot of human interest stories and his email address is publicly available so he got the first shot. I sent him a note this afternoon explaining the situation. Ideally, I'd love to have someone who would come by every month and pick them up and take them to somewhere they would be cuddled. We'll see.
If he doesn't come through, there are some other reporters around town who might be willing to cough up a good idea.
Plan B is to hold them all the teddy bears until Christmas and take them to some toy gathering place. That could get crowded ... 9 months of teddy bears.

Work finally quieted down after about 3. I did finally get that bitch's stuff done. I told her I'd have it done by Monday morning. So, I'm going to split the diff. I'll send her an email tomorrow afternoon and tell her it is done. If she had half a brain, and/or could read my emails, she'd see it was done by checking the web page. But, I know she won't.
I have a little work to do tomorrow. Actually I could probably do it Monday but I'll go ahead and get it done tomorrow.

The new little wireless adapter came today. Zonet. Plugged it in to one of the USB ports and Vista had it installed and working in no time. Unplugged the ethernet cable and bam, I was still connected to the internet. Nice. Now, next time that stupid ISP of mine goes down, I can mooch off one of my neighbors with any of the computers.
Next project is to get all of the computers to show up on the network map. They all show up but two of them sit down at the bottom and won't hook up to the pretty map. Interestingly, the help stuff says you need to have a special Link Layer Topology Discovery protocol installed to see any XP machine. Well one of the ones showing up has the LLTP but the other one - also showing up, does not. Curious.

But, now I'm going to do some very necessary TiVo catch up.
