The Rest of My Day
Mar. 29th, 2007 05:40 pmThe rest of my day was way better than yesterday.
--
My client from hell escalated to the guy who pays for my contract. He backed me up all the way and said some lovely things about my work and my patience with difficult people (clearly, he's not reading this!). It was very nice.
Work was steady and busy and I finished off everything except for a couple of little things that I can save for tomorrow.
--
There is a baseball game on TV tonight!
--
I got a reply to my email to the online pharmacy about the automated calling. They said that sometimes they needed to get further information about an order and so would need to have their automated machine call me.
Right. And. No.
So I looked up the old Seattle phone number of a neighbor who moved to Portland several years ago. It rang to an automated answering machine that does not take messages. Perfect.
I called the online pharmacy and asked them to change my number to the bogus one.
This probably won't work but it gave me a little high.

In mid-February when I went to see Man Doctor The Wonderful, he told me that the itchy place on my scalp was some kind of fancy dandruff caused by a fungus and he point out that it had spread to my face. He gave me shampoo, and cream and lotion and told me it would be six weeks. The lotion and the shampoo stopped the itching nearly immediately but the face bits were stubborn. His six weeks is up tomorrow and wouldn't you know, that in the past two days there has been a remarkable clearing up of the face bits.
That guy is a wizard.
And won't he be shocked when he hears I have been to the gym??!! I don't go back until August. By then I can tell him I've been doing it for nearly six months. I can't wait to see his face.
