Mea culpa, Mea bits

susandennis1st of all, I need to report on my customer service experience of yesterday with LightBulbEmporium.com. I had to amend the entry because Google has gotten so good at indexing my Live Journal stuff that I didn't want someone to search for a review of the place and find only what was there yesterday. In a nutshell, they guy totally turned me around, kindly and respectfully leading me to understand that I had not clearly read the offer and had I been more careful and less assumptive, I would have not jumped to incorrect conclusions.
Bottom line, if you need light bulbs, give 'em a go.

I took the teddy bears to the Baby Corner place today. It's in a part of town that is not easily maneuverable and very scarce on parking. I found it easily and then found a parking place and paid $1.50 for an hour's worth of parking - the minimum. I trotted my two giant bags of bears up to the door where a hand lettered sign said 'Ring the Bell'. So I did. Fairly quickly a really nice lady answered the door and took the bears and ooo'd over how adorable they were and said she had some 18 month old twins being visited today by the nurse who definitely needed something to hug and these would be perfect. She asked me for my contact info so she could send me receipts for tax purposes and I said I'd see her next month and we were done. I used up very nearly 3.5 minutes of my 60 parking minutes! I'll know better next time. This place is going to be perfect.

While I was out I was listening to the radio in the car and in the course of 5 minutes on 2 different news stations, I heard a wide variety of pronunciations of Iraq and Iran.

Holy crap - how long have these places been in the news 24/7 around here? Seems like it's been long enough to get the pronunciation correct.

There is nada going on as far as work is concerned so far today. Suits me. I've got other stuff to do anyway. So I guess I'll get to it.
