Boring Day
Apr. 9th, 2007 05:02 pmI pride myself on not being bored. Ever. I think it comes from when I was little and I would whine to my mother about being bored. She told me - over and over and over again - that smart people are never bored.
Of course she also told me about 42 times a day to stand up straight and I still have the worst posture in the Western Hemisphere. But, I digress.
I guess today I just wasn't smart. From 9-now I accomplished 5 billing hours of work but it was not steady - fix this page, tweak that one, fix this back end file, etc. The stream of one-offs came in one at a time with time in between. I did not organize that in between time well.
This house needs dusting badly.
The kitchen counter needs clearing and wiping and the kitchen needs tidying.
The terrace needs a vacuum.
The terrace furniture needs a wipe down.
The storage cupboard s on the terrace need to be reorganized.
And none of it got done today. Instead, I did sudoku puzzles, random web surfing, browsing audio books at the library, etc and just really being bored.
Tomorrow I'll be smarter.
