If you are looking for a fascinating, humorous or even moderately interesting LJ entry, you have come to the wrong place.  I'm not even particularly pissed off or crabby about anything.

Dora the Dull!!  Right here.

Work is fine.  Just about the right amount of it and none of it too frustrating.

I cannot imagine what it must be like for the surviving students at Virginia Tech or for the families of the ones that didn't make it.  I was in college on a campus nearby when the National Guard started shooting down students at Kent State.  The Texas (UT) Tower guy was the only other campus shooting we had ever heard of.  The Kent State shootings was a time of war and protest anyway.  We were not surprised that agents of a government would fire on peace marchers.  It was a different time and circumstance.  We were still living in the times of one-offs.

And with no good segue, I'd like to mention again - because I can - that the Mariners are leading the Western Division.  They are winning.   They do not suck.  At least not so far.  They play again tonight so my jaded self says... ah, ok, this is the beginning of the rest of the season - the sucky part.  But these first few - and I do mean few - games have been fun.

I got a note this morning from Sheri who designed my house.  It was a thank you note.  Her newest client found her when Google landed her on my makeover pages and she read about my Sheri's work on my place.  If it would have been me, of course, I would have written to the website owner for more details but maybe she had enough.  I remember trying to find a designer, any designer.  I would have loved to have found good fodder like my makeover pages - even though they are no longer current and really aren't complete.  They do tell the story!

We are going through a time - in this condo building - when none of the units have been up for sale for a while.    The last few that were got snapped up fast.  There's a MLS lock box near the front door that appeared for the first time this week.  It is funny to watch the people who live here when they come in the front door invariably they investigate to see who's selling (the agent's card is on the under side of the lock box).  I just saw the wife if the history professor who lives down the hall check it, go inside and come back out - this time with paper and pen to write down the details.  I love watching my neighbors.

The soundtrack to Jersey Boys in waiting for me at the Library.   I think - while there is a break in the action work wise here - I'll just pop into the car and go get it.
