Just not my day...
Feb. 7th, 2004 06:09 pmSo after the tax/printer debacle I get into my chair for TV and knitting. I'm getting to the end of my latest afghan which is such a fun one to knit that I haven't been paying the attention that I should. And, I discover this afternoon that it is way too long for its width. So I unraveled about a foot of it. Now it's just add the end border and it will be done.
It's not so tragic. The cool thing about knitting is that if you screw up, you always have a wonderful do over opportunity. My friend, Jim, who is into woodworking was always so jealous. He cuts and his do over ops are history. I could unravel the whole blanket and make a sweater with the same yarn and no one would ever know.
It has actually turned out to be a very nice day. And I just checked
ruralrob's webcam to see him with two Jesuses... Is this What Would Jesus Do Do?

Date: 2004-02-08 07:02 am (UTC)Dating Danny has tuned me onto knitting. I notice and comment on friends' scarves and sweaters that I never would have paid attention to in the past. Well, I would have noticed in a subconscious way, because I like colour and fibre, but I never expressed it. Now I'm doing this all the time.
I'm seriously afraid of this hobby. If I start, it could ruin my life.
