squalls and vodka

We've had the most wonderful and unusual for this area rain squalls come through here today.  It's been fun to watch and wonderfully cool and refreshing.

A couple of weeks ago on some HGTV or DIY or whatever-flavor-network I was watching, there was a woman explaining how vodka was so good for all kinds of cleaning chores and I'll be darned if she's not right!  I put some in a spray bottle and have been using it here and there - grout in the bathroom, stain on the furniture... little things here and there and it's just magical. 

I used to have a boyfriend who was an alcoholic who's drink of choice was vodka - and the cheap stuff and he drank it on the rocks or sans rocks if he was in a hurry.  I never said a word (until the day I told him not to come a knockin' no more) but always thought to myself 'he's just downing cleaning fluid straight there!' and had no idea how right I was!

joyce just wrote that her pen exploded onto her hemp bag.  That's what made me think of it.  Aqua Net hair spray is great for that particular one but vodka works, too.
