susandennisLet me start off by saying thankgodforcool!! The temperature dropped yesterday outside and the inside is following suit. Even the cats are confused. Jake, who had already started his summer hibernation, came out last night in the cool to sleep on the bed only to find Betty had beat him to the spot! And I slept better and later than I have in a while! Nice. It looks like it might last for a bit.

My washer or dryer - I forget which - came with a couple of rebates. One from the electric company. One from Fridgedaire. The electric company paid off immediately. Frigedaire got my rebate for, declared it valid, posted same on their tracking website on 5/09/97. I got tired of waiting so I sent them a note asking when they planned on mailing the check. I got a response this morning... 6/20. I'm guessing they are having the check carved out of granite by small monkeys and that's why it takes so long.

The Mariner game is this afternoon. A matinée if you will. Radio only. They have had two back to back come from behind victories in the last two days so whatever happens today will be gravy. I know they are going to fall apart completely any minute so any win now is a bonus. And really very much fun.

Tomorrow I have to go to Redmond. I have a meeting with my boss and one of my clients. And... I hope... a co-worker who will be taking over the project. It's my least favorite project and I'd love to dump it. Wonder if I have gas in the car or at least enough gas to get there and back? I am very thankful that the client scheduled the meeting in the middle of the day. The last time he scheduled one for 3 p.m. on a day of both torrential rain and a Seahawks home game. It took me forever to get there and 4 times longer than that to get back.

Sometime before Saturday I need to make a library/grocery run. I probably should do that today and check the gas situation at the same time. Maybe I will and also swing by somewhere and pick up lunch. I think I can go around the long (but not very) way and avoid any Mariner traffic and there won't be that much anyway.
