Betty the alpha cat

susandennisWell, she has settled down some but if this morning is any indication, Betty is going to wallow in being an only cat. Jake never could handle it very well but I think HRH Betty is ready to serve. She is certainly making me smile today.

Years ago when Mother and Daddy came to visit - well came to spend the night on their way to visit my sister - Jake peed in Mom's empty bag. He had never done anything like that before and never did it again. But Mom really did not like pets (neither did Daddy but he kept his mouth shut so his bag stayed dry) and she tolerated dogs but cats, birds, hamsters - they were all pests in her book. Jake paid her back. Big Time.
When Bubba died, Mom asked me once 'now was he the one who peed in my bag?' and I told her yes, he was and now her bag was safe. I swear I heard Jake snicker.
