My name is Susan and I am a bag addict.  I love bags of any kind. Hand bags, shopping bags, backpacks.  I'll bet you if I went back to that cupboard where I keep them and pulled out my stash of paper shopping bags (with handles), there would be more than 100 and half would be from stores that haven't been in business in years.   I have two deep and wide drawers of handbags and backpacks and there isn't enough room to keep the sweater box full of wallets that I cannot bear to part with.

So... naturally, http://www.ebags.com totally has my number.  They have from day 1.  I try like crazy to stay out of there.  More than a year ago I made an iron clad rule that says if I stray, I can only stray in the 'sale' section.

A few weeks ago, I strayed.  I bought a bag on sale for $14 which really was a dud.  ebags has a very liberal return policy but it didn't seem worth it.  So I gave it to Goodwill.  Lesson learned.  STAY OUT OF EBAGS!!!!

Then, last week, they sent me an email saying they would give me a 10% discount if I would review the bag - favorable or unfavorable.  So I wrote what I thought was a balanced review.  I pointed out how little I paid for it and what the specific drawbacks were and why I did not send it back.

Today, I get an email from them exclaiming how sorry they were that I did not like the bag and they wished I had sent it back but, heck, here's 25% off anything in the shop.

This is exactly how people get wrong with drugs and drug dealers, isn't it?  I watch TV.  I know these things.

It looks like now that maybe I should have been calling Jake, The Eliminator!  Now that it's only Betty using the litter box, there's hardly anything to scoop!  And she does such a good job of hiding it that the little bit is hard to find.  I thought they were donating half but it looks like Betty was only putting in about 10%!

It just flashed to me that Betty has been here exactly 5 years.  I got her from the shelter in June of 2002.  They thought she was about a year old then.  She had had a litter of kittens and had been spayed.  She was afraid of everything.  She used to hide for whole days.  In drawers.  Closed drawers.  The new, improved Betty is much more fun and funny.

Work is getting a little crazed.   I remember it happened last year.  The end of the fiscal year is just a whole pile of disasters waiting to happen.  I remember thinking last year that my boss was going to implode.  He didn't but he might this year.  I've decided not to worry about it.  Last year it passed and this year it will, too.

My toaster oven died.  I am death to toaster ovens.  I used them a whole lot and for heavy duty stuff like broiling steak.  So they don't last.  But, I know that.  I'm ok with it.  And I don't buy expensive ones.

Except I just did.  I bought the Black & Decker Infrawave.  It has a way smaller footprint than my last one and I appreciate the extra counter space.  I got it yesterday but yesterday was so nuts that I didn't have time to try it.  So this morning, I gave it it's maiden voyage with an english muffin.  Ok... it's fast!  My previous toaster oven was dog slow on toast but this one is jack rabbit fast.  So far so good!

Tonight I think we'll try either pork shop or steak.  Stay tuned.  You know I'll share.
