Hose all ready... where's the fire?

susandennisEspecially since the servers were not available all weekend, I expected today to be a zoo. And a couple of hours this morning, it kind of was. Ya gotta love an email from the admin in charge of the migration that says, essentially, 'did we not remember to tell you to save your work from last week offline? ooops, our bad.'
When I was nearly half way done recreating the files they ate, they sent another mail saying - 'oh, yeah, forgot to mention we copied the contents over before the migration so you can find copies of your stuff here: ..."
Fun times.
But, all is back in place and now I'm even caught up and one of our dev guys figured out a way to do one of our most complicated websites a very easy way. Things are good! And calm. It's freaky!

One of my neighbors down the hall is doing something big, construction wise. I saw them bringing in this big crate to dump stuff in. So I just went down to check out what was happening and ohmygod... they have gutted the place. I mean everything INCLUDING the kitchen sink which is now in the dump crate. Wow. Plus, this unit was owned originally by a woman - Deena - who worked in construction and she had the most beautiful glass brick wall built in her entry way - it separated her from room from the hallway and it was gorgeous. It is now pieces of glass.
I had a cat back then - Bubba. Bubba loved Deena to bits. He would go down to her unit (which is 10 units down from mine) all the time - on his own. And bump her door until she opened it. It was hilarious. She moved years ago. It was hard on Bubba.
