susandennisI think Betty's campaign to be Only Cat is targeted for a landslide victory. When Bubba died and then when Pizza died, Jake quickly proved himself to not be Only Cat material. He just didn't have the skill set.
Betty, on the other hand, is acting like she was just waiting for her big break. When the lights go out at night, she sits just in front of my face and with one pay, literally taps my nose a couple of times. It's nearly terminally cute. This morning when the radio went off, she moved from the foot of the bed to the head and literally snuggled in next to my arm. Her long hair has the silkiest feel.
When I'm knitting, she'll climb into my lap and hold her head against my knitting hand so that she gets a head rub for free and then she'll tilt that head and look up at me in a way that says 'how in the world could you possibly even think of brining in competition???? Aren't I adorable enough for you?'
Indeed, Betty, I think you just might be.
