Adventures!!

susandennisThe mattress is bought. I went with a high end but not the highest end. The highest end was the memory foam number but I'm afraid of it. And that much money is too much if I hate it. So I played it safe. The bed gets here on Monday. I need to go get some extra bed slats cut. (I don't have a boxed spring - just slats but the mattress lady said that they need to be really close together so I need go to get more made.) Home Depot will do it for me, I think. I hope.
As I sat down at the mattress lady's desk to pay, I looked out of the plate glass window and there was Adventures in Doggie Daycare!!! Right there. 3 lanes away! The mattress lady says she has the best desk in town and I believe her. It was fascinating to watch for the 15 minutes I was there. I love that show and this was like seeing it in real life! Imagine a reality show in real life... that's a couple of dimensions too many for moi. Mattress lady says owners really do look like their dogs.
Then on the way home I heard on the radio that the building out my terrace is going to start next Summer! For sure!! They are carving up half the parking lot to build housing - low and regular income - and retail space. It's going to be so cool. BUT the fun part is going to be watching it being built. I'm absolutely doing a photo a day like I did for Kingdome/Qwest Field. I think I might start on January 1, 2008.
So when I got back here, I stopped in at Scott The Manager's office to discuss. He told me they are starting the demolition of the building on the other side of our building (the one that the people across the hall fro me see) on July 2! So I told him about the new project. And I told him that I was going to have to ratchet up my complaints about the Tree That I Hate. He laughed. It's gotten to be our thing. I've put him in charge of making it go away. (I gave him a heads up that the old copper nails nailed into the trunk does not work.)
They are installing new features - some kind of motion detection deal - into the camera system so Front Door TV has been futzed up all day. Scott said he should have wagered with the cable guy on how long it would take me to come down and find out what was going on. He could have made some serious cash.
Now I have bugs - of the code variety - and I need to get to work.
