wow and ugh
Jun. 25th, 2007 09:25 amSo.... I'm working on the chaise and something on the desk starts to vibrate. I have the old and new cellphones side by side. So I get up to look and lo and behold it's the new one! My number is ported!! I have a text message saying my phone is ready to receive calls!! And, sure enough, when you dial my same old cellphone number the little snickers bar just vibrates away.
Of course, 1. I have it set to ring and vibrate and it's not ringing... hmmm and 2. I can't talk on it. I can't call out or answer a call cause I have no minutes paid for. I can't pay for any minutes until my case ID is resolved at their website. But, heck on a stick, this is a lot more progress than I expected.
AND it's going to save me an additional $39! My Sprint month ends tomorrow. I assumed I'd have to pay for another month since everything said this process would take days and days. Now, it looks like I'm done with Sprint. My Sprint phone says it can no longer access my account. (I will call to ensure that the account is closed before the end of tomorrow, however.)
Wow. Very slick.

But, meanwhile I think my TV is getting worse. Already. This is not good. There's a locally owned place that I've heard good things about that fixes (and sells) TV's and fancy video setups and does in home work. I think I'm going to go visit them but I'd like to not have to do it immediately. We'll see.
