Stayin' cool...

susandennisThe shades are drawn and the A/C is on and I am staying cool. I was just at Walgreens and the clerk asked me if I had any plans for the 4th. It was cute. She asked me like she really cared so I told her that I was planning to stay cool and that I was going to practice today. She laughed but then said 'really, though, no fireworks?' And so I told her that I was thinking about going to the farmers market at Columbia City. That I had never been before. She perked right up and suggested that I either go early or take the bus but that it was a fine plan for the 4th. It was a fun little encounter.
And I took my monthly load o' teddy bears. The lady at the Baby Corner was delighted in a way that just made my month. Then I dropped off my cable box.
Now I am home and practicing that cool.
Work has a little drama to it today but I'm only peripherally involved (in the drama) and it's mainly happening because my area of the biz (web production) is growing in leaps and bounds in our little company. So it's hard to be anything but appreciative. And grateful that I'm not involved in the drama.
But, I had better end this entry and get back to work!
