susandennisIt really was. The food was good and there was shade and a breeze and plenty of room and I enjoyed the heck out of meeting those I didn't know and visiting with those I did. It was just very fun.
The place was not easy to find (and, I was not the only one to say that...) so, I didn't get there until about 4 but I didn't leave until it was clear that staying another 10 minutes would put me on clean up duty!

howeird's prediction, was lovely and fun (and has beautiful hair). I recognized her voice immediately. I met folks I didn't even know worked for the same company! Found out all kinds of interesting things about everyone but mainly it was just, flat fun. I met the new producer (who will be helping me out doing stuff I can't get to and stuff of his own). I met the new project manager who will, hopefully, wrestle many of the big projects away from the boss who does not have to give them the focus they need. He seems like a guy I will really enjoy working with.
I got in a good visit with Arlene who is always such fun and so interesting. She does all the $$ stuff at work and has to keep track of so much stuff. Nearly every time I talk to her I learn something new and to have time to have a relaxed chat was luxury and very fun.
And it was fun just to watch every one. Great, great time. I hate that the Christmas party is such a crowded, difficult affair. I don't want to wait another whole year to visit with these people again!
