wurst craving

susandennisYou know that Murphy's memory law that says it's only when you get home from the grocery store that you can remember the main item you went to get?
Well, I'm suffering from the corollary. I actually remembered it at the store but didn't manage to get it home. I wanted liver wurst. Specifically liverwurst and swiss cheese on rye. I got the rye. I got the swiss cheese. But they did not have the liverwurst I wanted. So I stood there and debated on getting my second choice and decided to get it but forgot to let my hand know that it needed to go into the basket and not back on the fucking shelf!!
So what, of course, started out as a passing fancy is now right up there on par with an addict's craving. Maybe I'll fall into a store on the way home from my lunch meeting tomorrow.

But today will take advantage of another Murphy's law... One of the best lunches on a hot hot day is sushi from the good sushi place. BUT the good sushi place is just far enough away to be too far on a hot hot day at noon. Today is a fairly cool day with intermittent visits from that fire starter, the sun, so I think I'm going make it a good sushi day!

I'm waiting on our dev guy to fix some tricky site architecture and then I'll need to spend a lot of hours fixing the pages to back it up but I can't do sqat until he does his bit so I wait... and LJ...
But, I did clean the kitchen floor. And, let me just say that I know the Swiffer stuff is way too expensive and wasteful and sure getting down on your hands and knees with a bucket of water and sponge will do the whole job more cheaply but... you know what? I don't care. I love my Swiffer. I love that I can make the pole shorter or longer. I love that I can pick up dust bunnies from the corners under the cabinets. I love that I can then switch to the wet wipe and finish up the floor in 1/10th the time painlessly. Those Swiffer people are my heroes.

And I deep sixed all the near dead geranium blossoms and changed the sheets on the bed.

There is no baseball game tonight so I need to do some serious TiVo catchup! I have captured the pilot of several new shows and I need to see if any are going to make the susandennis cut. I do love all these cable networks coming out with their own series. I'm not a big reality fan but I do love the stuff like The Closer and Burn Notice. I'm interested in seeing Saving Grace, Mad Men, the Company, Damages and a few more I can't even remember. I love that there are so many new series that I can't even remember them... in the summer!
