Confused...

susandennisBetty's digestive system has me stumped. I leave out a bowl of dry food all the time. At 5 p.m. I spoon out a bit of wet food. Betty has always been the one to ring the dinner bell. Usually, if it's 5, or 4 she'll be at my feet ready for me to dish it out. When Jake was alive, they would both line up for the 5 p.m. food. Betty would lick hers a little and then wander off and Jake would eat it.
Since Jake has died, I have changed wet food because with Betty, the food would petrify before she ate it all. So I tried the pouches. She was not impressed. Then I went to the little cans. She seems to like that a little better. Last night, I opened the can, gave her a spoonful. She licked it and kind of nibbled and wandered off.
Tonight, another spoonful of the exact same stuff. She pounced on it like she had never ever eaten before and wanted to since she was a kitten. She ate the whole thing and licked the plate.
Then about 15 minutes later, she threw it all up. And she never throws up - maybe once in the 5 years she's been here. I am stumped. She seems fine. Guess we'll see what happens tomorrow. One more serving in that can.
