Gone is the day!
Jul. 20th, 2007 04:53 pmI did manage to get the bulk of the work done before it was time to go to lunch. The original lunch deal was three of us but then one of us decided to invite another co-worker who has a 5 month old baby. So ... of course they were very late. Arlene and I sat in the place for 40 minutes chit chatting which was nice but still kind of rude. Next time we aren't waiting. At least I'm not.
I sure did miss the baby gene. Yeah, they are cute. But, once you cover that subject which doesn't take too long (and this baby and mother were at the picnic last week and we covered the topic there for several hours), I'm ready to move on to other conversation. But, apparently, as long as baby is there, there is no limit on the amount of time adults need to repeat how cute this baby is.
To those of you who have babies, please don't get futzed. I do appreciate and enjoy your baby tales and stories. I do. I've just od'd on this particular baby, I think.
seattlejo, The Rowdy Cowboy was fine. Cute. Decent pulled pork bbq. Arlene got the ribs and they did not look good but she said they were. The cornbread was exceptional. The coleslaw looked too vinegary to me. The shoestring fries were very good. I wouldn't leave here to go back but if I were close by, I might go again. And, we will probably repeat the work group there again.

The Mariners are playing Toronto and so far, not impressively.

Betty is begging for dinner again - we shall see how that goes.

I have a full weekend's worth of work to do - fine by me.
