Friiiiiiidaaaaay
Jul. 27th, 2007 06:56 pmWhew. I spent all damn day heads down and cranking it out and I'm not nearly done. But, I have all weekend. We get paid twice a month. We submit our hours and are paid accordingly. I have not looked but I'm pretty sure these last two weeks of July will by far have the most billable hours of any pay period since I started working for this outfit. If the month ended right now, I would have averaged 7.2 hours a day - every single day - weekends included. And there are still four days left in the month. Whew. Good money but I'm actually kind of ready for a break.

Tomorrow is Seattle's big Summer day. And a lot of happens right here in this neighborhood. There's a run between here and Seattle Center (on the other side of downtown) and a baseball game and the annual torchlight parade which starts at Seattle Center, goes through downtown and ends up here in the Qwest Field parking lot.
Before the Tree That I Hate grew to block out my view, it was great fun to sit on the terrace and watch the parade. Now I can sit on the terrace and watch that fucking tree shed onto my terrace. But, I can hear the bands and that's fun.
--
The weather continues to be pleasant. I have Vista rotating through my favorite pictures on my desktop and it just flashed a great shot of
ruralrob's and
emjaybaxter's house in the snow. It want to put on my coat and gloves and boots and crunch through it right now!

I am taking the night off for work. I'm going to work on the latest teddy bear while I watch the Mariners lose their next game. Sigh.
