My bright spot

susandennisSo I have a bunch of people I'm working with on this Project From Hell. They are all pretty much pissing me off for a variety of different reasons but my proof reader - Shannon? She's my shining star. Usually, I'm annoyed by the proofer. Here you get the page all fixed up and pretty and good to go and the proofer has a bascillion little nits that no one gives a shit about... But, this proofer is so efficient and so fast and so responsive an so willing that I can't do anything but love her to bits.
I gave her a horrible project. A huge spreadsheet - 135 rows, 40 someodd columns of mainly text - paragraphs. I told her it would be great if I could have it done by Monday afternoon. She sent it today!!! And that enabled me to check off 135 pages as PROOFed!!!! Already. Plus, it makes it much easier because now the dev guy can go ahead and work with the spreadsheet like he needs to instead of working it and then my having to consolidate his changes on Monday.
When she sent to the spreadsheet back she said she was up for more but would be in class all day Sunday? After that, she had tons of open time. Whew. And Yeah. At least I know the nits will be gotten.

Mozy back up isn't working out - it's operational model is different than Carbonite's. There is a lot I don't like about Carbonite, but I think I'm going to go back. I have asked Mozy if - since I cannot get a refund - I can turn over my subscription to a friend. If they say yes, I'll post here.
