Quite the day so far...

Work has been a little busy but I have managed to work in a few non-work items...

I swapped out the TiVos and that was amazingly easy!  Seems like last time I did that, it was a royal pain in the ass.  Glad they have fixed that maneuver.  Plus the one I swapped in looks far better with the others now.  I don't need all my components to match but it's nice when they look like they came from the same family.  TiVo has used a lot o' designs over the years. 

Then I went to Costco.  I bought steak and pork chops and coffee and a TV with a DVD player.  Yep.  My bedroom TV is a big ole' clunker - big in body but tiny in screen.  I only watch it for the occasional end of the ballgame and for the late night news.  But, finally the look of it got to me.  Because of where it sits in the bedroom, it takes up too much prominent real estate.  So I've been on the hunt for a new one that has a bigger screen, much smaller body and has a DVD player built in.  I haven't been looking seriously, just enough to know what's out there and what the going price is.  So I knew a decent deal when I fell on it today so I scarfed it up.

Lee and Sherry and I are supposed to go to dinner tonight but I'm thinking it might not happen.  Lee wanted to do it tomorrow and I told them I was going to the Columbia City Farmers' Market and have a tomato sandwich for dinner when I got home.  So I don't know.  They want me because Lee is going to a training thing for work in Charleston, SC and she wants to know what to do, what to see, where the gay bar is and where to eat. 

I have no clue where the gay bar is and the only two out gay people I know there moved to the beach a few years ago and I lost them.  She may have to hang with the straight folk.

I need to get back to work but I wanted to report that so far... for nearly 24 continuous hours... we have had electricity!!!!  Oh joy, oh rapture.
