We have tomatoes!!!
Aug. 22nd, 2007 05:09 pmIt was not an easy trip but at least productive. I got lots of tomatoes, and beans (sting chill and dip, yum), radishes and fresh basil to make
seattlejo's wonderful sounding recipe.
The only other time I've been to this farmer's market was on July 4. There was no problem at all finding it and there was easy parking. Not so today. If I hadn't found it before, I'm not sure I could and the traffic was horrible and there was no parking. One of the traffic problems was caused by the tow trucks towing people who tried to get creative in their parking. And it was hot.
But, I was there and I got my stuff. And I'm happy.
Then I stopped at Safeway and got the ricotta - I've got the other ingredients. Tomorrow for lunch there will likely be Instant Tomato-Ricotta ‘Soup’ With Capers! Or a blt or a tomato and mayo sandwich or a tomato with salt over the sink!
All is good. And Sherry and Lee will be here in a minute to pick me up for dinner.
