susandennisI'm not nearly caught up on work but it's going to have to wait because I have to haul out to Redmond and sit in a class for four hours. I was planning on compensating myself with some retail therapy once class was over and while I waited for the traffic to hopefully clear out. BUT I got a better offer.
My project manager - with whom I rarely have time for just idle chit chat and visiting - asked if I was diving over and could she ride with me. You betcha!! I'd love to have the company... we can ride in the car pool lane and we can dish. And it will be a lot cheaper than the spending of money that I had planned!
So... I'm now waiting for her to get here. She wanted to get here early to come up and see SDHQ.
I'm actually not terribly unhappy about being shanghai'd for the afternoon. I'll have all weekend to catch up. It will be cool in the classroom (it's in the same building I was in when I left my last campus job). They promised snacks.
It could be worse. Way worse.
So... off I go.
