When I got back from the farmers market last week I had a lot of tomatoes.  I used the best one for a sandwich that was heaven.  Then I used the two next best ones for the soup.  Also heaven.  And that was it.  I used one in a tomato/ricatta salad.  It was kind of not as good.  I have two more I'm going to use in another bowl of the soup but I'm not holding out hope because the one I just cut up for a sandwich?  Tasteless.  Sigh.  Oh well.

I'm really amused at the brownie rundown.  I had no idea there were so many brownie meat people out there!  Until last week, I didn't know there were any.  Amazing how you can live 58 years and not know a thing like that.

Work is busy.  Not heads down busy but too busy to make a grocery run today.  I need bread and to stop at the library.  Tomorrow will be fine.

We have a hot day today (not terrible yet) and a hot day tomorrow and then I think that's it for the Summer.  We rarely have any hot after Labor Day. Warm yes, but fan warm not air conditioner warm.  And I will have made it through another Summer.  Hopefully, if I'm still around next year, I will have graduated past this stage of menopause.  If I live long enough, I suppose, I'll turn into one of those old ladies who is never warm enough.  I honestly and truly cannot imagine what that would be like.
