My day so far...

This morning I hopped on a bus downtown. Seattle has a free bus district - it's about two miles long by about a mile wide covering most of downtown. It starts right by my house going north. It got a bus to the end of the free zone and then walked home.

I took a ton of pictures - well, 20 to be exact. Buzznet has a 10 per day limit which they graciously doubled for me a while back when I begged. I hit the limit today and still have 3 in the phone that I'll do tomorrow.

When I first moved to Seattle in early 1992, I worked in the center of town. It's been a while since I've just meandered around down there and lots of stuff has changed. The big jewelery store is now a lunch place and I couldn't even find that cute little place that only sold pens. There was one intersection that had airline offices on ever corner. Not a one is left. The new downtown Seattle library is very weird. I'm not sure I like it. But, I'm real sure they don't care.

I got an IM today from my friend, BJ. He told me that he watched his sister get married today on the internet. He said she called Wednesday night and told him she was getting married at 9 a.m. (Pacific time) today (wedding in Cincinati) and gave him the URL. He's going to ping me later for coffee so I can get all the details. (He works where I did, in the next block.)
