Living with me

On Saturday, I moved a lot of crap off my desk - actually off the credenza behind my chair.  It was just looking cluttered and no amount of tidying was helping so I deep sixed it all.  Some got trashed.  Some got filed. Some got put away in other places.

My basket of klenex (actually Puffs with lotion!) got moved to the side.  Just at the end of my right arm.  Way more convenient. 

But, either my body or my brain or both cannot adjust.  I keep turning around to get a tissue.  I am such a rut rat.

Went across the street to get some General Tso's chicken for lunch.  His prices have gone up but his smile is as bright and he always always always acts as if he has been waiting his entire day just to see me.  I can handle the extra $.55.

Well, I can for a while anyway.  The freakin' stock market is kinda beginning to scare me.   I've lost 20% of my Ameritrade account value in the last week.  And today it went down even more.  Fortunately, this is not my serious retirement money and it is not a huge amount but still.  Stop it.  Please.

My co-worker, Tyler, has agreed to cover me for the three days I'm planning to be a slacker.  The first is next Tuesday.  I'm going to the fair.  I'm going.  I'm going to have a corn dog and a funnel cake and see pigs and quilts and the guys who hawk miracle products.  I'm jazzed. 

Then on the 27th, I'm going to be cleaning.  Dusting.  Cleaning.  Arranging.  Because on Friday, the 28th, unzeugmatic is having gathering some friends and family and treating them to a Pike Place Market party.  He's going to go to the market and gather up the goodies and bring 'em back here.  It's going to be great fun plus it has been a wonderful reason for me not to dust or clean much...  I'll do that week after next!

My work load is way light these days.  I'm tempted to tell the boss and the main project manager.  I don't want to be inundated but I don't want to be bored either.  And I like that income...  hmmmm  We have a project meeting at 2.  I should get a feel then about what's on the table work wize.
