Day 178 - 3
Sep. 13th, 2007 09:07 am30 minutes on the treadmill in 5 minute increments and one of those increments a really hard one!
But, even better news. I sealed a deal with Rosie!
As I walked in this morning I was disappointed because Tija wasn't at her desk so I couldn't get Rosie's contact information. But, lo and behold, right there at the front desk was Rosie herself!! So I asked if we could chat. We sat down and I told her my story - and asked if she could help me. She was all over the project like white on rice. She explained that she's not so big on the machines or on spot training but more whole body stuff and she had some stuff that was required like squats and chinups and pushups.
One thing she asked me surprised and then delighted me. She asked me about my balance. I really have no idea if I have good balance. I manage to stand and walk fairly well... but I do know that as I get older balance becomes more critical to have and less easy to hang on to so working on that now is a fabulous great wonderful idea.
She offered me up a package of 8 weekly sessions and I grabbed it. She was thinking about her schedule and trying to figure out a good time and said kind of to both of us... 'next Thursday or Friday is really too long to wait, isn't it? you are ready to get going now, right?' This woman 'got me' quick.
Saturday at 10 we start. Yahoooo!!! I am jazzed.
So I pushed myself harder than usual and now I am a wet puddle! So... shower time!
Oh and I talked to her about the 7 day thing and explained that outside of my 30 minutes at the gym, I pretty much do not move the rest of the day so I did not think 7 days was excessive. She agreed and suggested that we work out a plan so there is at least one slow but interesting day... Sweet.
