Resources Online is a busy Web production company seeking a Web Designer to work on diverse, high-visibility projects for industry leading companies. We need someone who likes to conceptualize at a high-level some days and push pixels on other days, and works well being their own art director. Our clients include Microsoft, Adobe, and Lexis-Nexis.
Our company is a great place to work. We form virtual teams and enjoy flexible hours. Telecommuting is typical, though we also have a studio in Wallingford/Fremont.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Portfolio pieces that demonstrate a keen eye for design, distinctive creativity, and an understanding of core design principles.
• Proficiency in creating graphics that pop, including page art, marketing heroes, banner ads, and full-on integrated Web site designs.
• Experience with Flash-based design; Flash showing built-in dynamic functionality is a plus. SilverLight is worthy of a major plus.
• Expert Photoshop user. Excellent with page building apps such as Dreamweaver. Proficient with tools like Flash, Illustrator, and Fireworks.
• Experience cutting and prepping graphics for Web use.
• Able to rapidly transfer design to well-formed Web pages is a plus. Tableless Web page-building is big plus.
• Ability and skill in scripting and applying CSS wows us.
• Excellent client interaction skills are a must; grok it, concept it, and respond to feedback.
• Ability to work well with a virtual team; self directed; IM on.
HIGHLY DESIRED:
• Diverse creative abilities: Web development, UI architecting, video production, photography, writing/editing, Web production.
• A related degree: design, graphic arts, mass communication.
• Flexibility and interest in learning new complementary skills.
• Experience working with Microsoft stakeholders.
Telecommuting; flex time; FTE (but we’d also consider contractor status)
