Friday's stuff

susandennisTravis was making me crazy. Crawling over the keyboard, nudging my arms and hands, then darting all over knocking this off and that down and I thought to myself, 'poor guy, he's bored!'
Not two minutes later, here he comes with his favorite red rat toy and drops it into my lap so I'll toss it out for him to fetch. He's such a clever boy.
We fetched for a while and then I got busy on some work stuff and the next thing I notice is that he's at the end of the chaise I'm sitting on ready with is toy in case I have time to pitch to him.
My adorable meter broke weeks ago.

This is a cool little thing I ran into yesterday - http://minimalist.com/software/ExplorerBreadcrumbs/. It is a little tool for Windows that provides some handy extra navigation through file folders. I thought it was interesting when I found it yesterday but today I discovered that I was using it a whole lot! Very handy.

And in the same place or close to it where I found that little tidbit, I also found one to a little program that very handily does what two of my oft used tools do... Greenshot - http://sourceforge.net/projects/greenshot/ - easily captures bits of a screen shot or the whole screen. I have one tool grabs little screen clips and one tool that does entire screen shots and then gives me more options than I ever use. Greenshot gives me exactly what I need to do both operations. Cool. Love new stuff.

My mood is a little better today - not perfect... Pollyanna does not have to worry just yet - but better. I think work is grating on me more than I'm happy admitting. Things have slowed down a bunch today and I have had some quality susandennis time which has dialed my attitude back to acceptable. Maybe I just need a break from work - a little more down time. It seems kind of silly since I have the dream job and plenty of down time now. But, if what I've got makes me cranky and mean, it's time to change. On the up side, I'm thinking that between now and January is going to be slow-ish and that should help a lot. I hope.

There is snow in the forecast. I know it won't happen but it's gray and cloudy and snow-looking out there now and that does help - thinking it could happen. My snowboots have seen no action in sooo long.

Travis just woke up and crawled up here onto my stomach and settled in and then my stomach growled and he hopped off like he had been attacked! Sometimes he looks very put out when I laugh at him. Now he's gone back to lie down next to his toy.

He has a new fascination with the bathroom sink and the water out of that faucet. I'm thinking there will be a new episode soon on Kitty TV.
