It occurs to me today that I am in the middle (I sure hope it's the middle) of some of the most amazingly good karma I have ever known.
I need to get the car tuned up. Since I never drive the thing, I don't have a familiarity with any mechanics. I go to the Seattle LJ community and look up auto in the memories that someone has so beautifully organized. I find the name of a place not far from here that a couple of people say is good. I make an appointment and go this morning. They say it will take a couple of hours.
I tell them I need the oil changed and everything checked - explaining why. I tell them I'm going to walk and to call me on my cellphone if they need me. As I'm walking I realize that I have no clue what they charge and I could have just signed up for a $200 oil change plus godknowswhatallelse. After about an hour, I've had enough walking so I figure I'll go back and sit and read for the rest of the time.
I get back and they guy says it's ready. And it's fine. Oil is changed. All is checked. Nothing's wrong. $27.15. They don't take Discover or American Express and I can't find my Visa! It's nowhere. I look and I don't have enough cash. I'm so embarrassed and the guy was so nice. Finally I count the cash and there is - I shit you not - exactly, to the penny, $27.15.
As I'm driving away, I remember I have $20 stashed in my cellphone case. When I got home, I look in a little zipper thing in my purse and find the Visa which was there all along - just segregated from the other cards. But, still...

I say make any pertinent phone calls to stock brokers, make calls you may have been putting off, make some online shopping purchases (surprise 50% off whatever you choose, and anything else that could keep this ball rolling!
What a week!!
