Dateline: On the plane from Seattle to Dallas
When the power goes out, everything I think to do needs electricity. Can't watch TV? I'll listen to the radio. Can't turn on the stove? I'll just use the microwave.
Turns out, I have the same problem with approved electrical devices. Can't use the computer, I'll just listen to my audio book. Wonder what time it is? I don't wear a watch. I use my cellphone, computer, Zen... When you can't use an approved electrical device, I cannot tell you what time it is but I can tell you that the time between when they tell you to shut off all your stuff and the time they tell you you can turn it on again is for.ev.er!!!
On the down side, I got a great night's sleep. Since I rarely have to wake up at a certain time, on the few occasions when I do, I usually can't sleep worth a damn. Last night I set the alarm for 5 and slept like a rock. So I did not wake up until 5:15! But I was ready and I am fast so I was showered, dressed and on the way to the bus stop by 5:30. When I was 20 feet from the actual bus stop, my bus pulled up!
Uneventful and very quick ride to the airport and then it was TSA time. A huge thanks to all of you who gave me TSA tips. I was so ready. I was so ready that the guy in front of me who was not at all ready, looked at me in total admiration and said 'wow, you are organized!!!'. Breezed through, got coffee, sent a txt to my brother and then it was time to board the plane and here I r.
Oh and I now know what time it is. 7:51. Think I'll listen to my book.
Ok is is very out of order but what the heckle!
