The wheels on the bus...
Mar. 15th, 2004 05:51 pmThe bus from here to Microsoft and back is a dream. I thought maybe this morning's trip was a fluke or the good morning run with the afternoon run being the spoiler. Wrongo. I walked out of my building at 4 p.m. and I got off the bus here at 4:35. Oh, and Fran was absolutely right, Microsoft will pay my bus fare! How cool is that???
I popped into the Japanese grocery to get some California rolls for dinner and stuff to make lunch sandwiches and I was in my house by 5.
Microsoft is locked up and people get access with keycards. It's not as tight as, say IBM, but it's still pretty locked up. It's going to be a couple of days until I can get one so getting to the cafeteria or anywhere else is pretty inconvenient. But, it's not a big deal because I can take sandwiches for a few days and I really would rather just eat at my desk while I work.
So... all is really good. Better than I expected.
