Lee and I outdid ourselves this morning. We walked down by the waterfront (and even got inside one of the new $6,000 self clean porta potties
. We continued way on down to the start of the streetcar line and then turned up into town where we wandered through the Belltown P-Patch.
Belltown is a neighborhood on the north end of downtown and their P-Patch has some wonderful artwork in it and three really cute restored cottages.
Then Lee suggested we go get pastries at this one fabulous booth in the Pike Place Market. I allowed as how it wouldn't be open yet and she said 'betcha' and so off we went. I lost. We walked home from there munching on our pastries.
I think physical exercise is great especially when combined with pastries. Oh and Lee has her first couple of cigarettes of the day while we are out. My kind of workout!
Now I need to finish up my coffee and go get into the shower. Since I did all my chores yesterday, I think today I'll knit. Oh, there's a Mariners game on TV at noon - that's where I'll be if you need me.

When I was on the waterfront yesterday it was the first time I had noticed those self-clean bathrooms. Do you know how long they've been there? I guess it had been a while since I'd been to the waterfront . . .

Date: 2004-03-21 12:05 pm (UTC)There are two buttons to open the door. Unfortunately, I hit the one labeled 'emergency' and we got the hell out of there while the alarm was still going off. The best move would have been to hit the one NOT labeled emergency!

Ha! That cracks me up. Thanks for the laugh.
I'll have to venture into one of those things myself one of these days.
