Reporting in the bits...
Mar. 12th, 2008 01:20 pmThe replacement webcam arrived - I got a Hercules mainly because it was 1. not Logitech and 2. cheap. It makes a nice image and is kind of sleek looking on top of my monitor. I like. Feel free to peek...
I also had to change software. I've been using VisionGS since forever and actually still use it for the chaise image but on a different computer. I could not get it to play nice with the Hercules and it's really kind of a dead end/no support/no Vista love deal anyway so I went shopping and discovered that one of my old favorites - Yawcam is alive and kicking and updated and now happily serving up my image. Thank you.
My chaise is spoken for!! A neighbor (sort of) spied the offer on
seattle and claimed it. She doesn't know yet whether she'll put it in her photography studio which is only a few blocks from here or take it home. Either way, it sounds like it's going to a good place - hopefully this week. I'm hoping that the delivery guys will help me nudge it back to the fish room until she can come get it.
I emailed Tija about the physical therapist and she fixed me up for a week from today at 5:0 p.m. By then I should have enough history with this thing to have a good feel for when it hurts and how it hurts. I want to find out what exercises to do when it hurts and what exercises to do to keep it from hurting. It is still so much better today. I'm being careful about how I sit and how I get up and how I move but all seems good today - fingers crossed it all stays that way.
Travis is having a play date with himself and Betty is watching carefully from the chaise. He's running out to the terrace and hiding under the curtains and then peaking out and running into the living room and hiding behind the hassock and then running behind the TV console and then doing it all over again. Betty and I are both quite amused.
