Nice and quiet Monday

susandennisI'm not sure where Travis is - somewhere resting up for his next escapade, I suspect. Betty just spent a good 10 minutes on my keyboard until I ran her off so I could get back to work.
Only, when she left, I realized it was break time anyway.
My vision is slipping downhill again... Sigh. It's time for another visit to the eye doctor, I guess. I did not like the woman I went to last time but, I don't really have a Plan B. Maybe it would be worth my while to get a Plan B and then get go. My one contact enables me to read the bulletin board and elevator notices and stuff on the fly but anything small print and/or most computer words, I need reading glasses for. Some days I don't but some days, like today, I do. Very annoying.
There's an Irish restaurant on the corner and I expect, any minute, to hear bagpipes. I am not a bagpipe fan. But, I decided this morning that I was not going to let it annoy me so I am no.
And I'm not going to let the stock market annoy me either. It is getting a little worrisome, though. I pay my financial adviser an annual fee to keep my money safe and growing. Some years I think it is a very expensive luxury. These days, however, I think it is a pittance for the value I get. Guess it all evens out. I know he's on top of it and will make sure my future is as safe as possible.
I've got a full day of work here - all doable easily with a flexible deadline. On days like these, I love my job.
I have not heard from the artist I bought the piece from. She asked that I email her paint information which I did and I was kind of hoping for some kind of 'got it, thanks, will be in touch' email. But, so far, none. I always assume my email gets trapped in spam filters.
