My latest great idea

susandennisOn my terrace, I have two window boxes. Every year I go get 10 red geraniums and put them, pot and all, in to the window boxes. In the years when I remember to water them and remove old blooms, they do pretty well. Those years, however, aren't regular.
So my new great idea is to use non living things in those boxes this year - or actually all year around. I'm thinking possibly small wind spinners or wooden daisies or wooden tulips or something pretty and colorful that does not need care.
But, I have no clue if such things are even made. And I haven't quite fashioned a way to do get them to stick up in the window boxes (stuck in foam surrounded by rocks/dirt/fake grass)...
There's a kite shop over by Gas Works park that also sells windspinners and stuff. I might wander over there tomorrow and see what I can discover.
