This and That

Mom's computer is down... I got a note from her saying she couldn't see web pages and so was checking the email to see if it was broken, too. I keep a little program on her computer that sends her IP address to a server where I can log in and check it. It checks it every 5 minutes. The last time it saw her computer was at 9:05 this morning (my time). So it's likely just Comcast is having a bad day.

I killed nearly an hour looking for a little tool I used to have. I finally found it. When oh when am I going to learn to put all of my tools in a box somewhere together and keep the toolbox updated??!! You'd think as often as I change jobs, work on different computers, and try new stuff, that I would learn. Geesh. Of course, on the other hand, while looking for tools that I've lost, I find others I didn't even know about so it's not all bad.

I'm meeting my friend, Susan, from my last job for a drink today after work.

I finished an afghan last Sunday and started a new one and haven't yet updated my knitting pages on the website. Having a day job does have it's down side when it comes to making time to do stuff. And/or I am very lazy.

Oh! Mom's back up... yahoo. The IP pinger found her again just now. Whew. Of course, I've been writing this entry now for about an hour. Maybe I should launch it before tomorrow comes!
